Tempio Voltiano (Como)
A neo-classic building with marble columns and mosaic floors, Tempio Voltiano houses a museum dedicated to Alessandro Volta, inventor of the battery. Inside, visitors can see letters, documents, drawings, calculations and some of the original scientific instruments used by the physicist to conduct his experimental work.

Museo Degli Strumenti per la Navigazione (Bellagio)
This museum is situated in an ancient tower with over 200 objects from the past that helped man navigate the sea; compassess, marine chronometers etc.

Museo Archeologico Paolo Giovio (Como)
This museum includes numerous sections organised on the basis of historical periods, starting from pre-history  to Roman art, a collection including precious stone slabs and tablets. The section of Mediaeval art is particularly rich of sculpture findings. The museum also includes a library specialising in archaeology.

History Museum Giuseppe Garibaldi (Como)
Opened in 1932, within the Olginati's palace. Collection is made-up of costumes, textiles, ceramics, weapons, manuscripts and medals, in order to illustrate the quality of life within the region of Como Lake during the last three centuries.

Museo didattico della Seta (Como)
The Silk Museum, Como, Italy, opened in 1990 and provides a true account of the history of the silk industry in Como. In the main hall, reference is made to the art of silkworm breeding.
